Nativity first-graders were recently introduced to gardening by their teachers, Jennifer Dixon and Ann Skirvin, who explained how gardens provide food.
The students helped pull out what was left of the spring plants, prepped the beds and planted some fall crops.
Gardening was easier at the school this year because Nativity graduate Joshua Sitzman built boxes for the garden as part of his Eagle Scout project.
